Artist’s descriptions

  • This piece is largely responsible for starting my career path towards arts, design and media.

The first iteration was done in my high school art class with the theme “Me & media”. I chose to express the negatives that a relationship with media may have on a developing young adult - sometimes it’s better to unplug from it all.

  • How to construct a self-portrait without depicting yourself through an image?

A big part of me and my art is writing and no matter how much an image can tell, I do think words can oftentimes tell it better. I chose to depict myself through the words of someone close to me, as I believe that describing myself would start and end with how the genuine connections I’ve made perceive me.

  • This piece explores the boundaries of what is public and what is private with a surrealistic twist. The liminal space of an open road, a means to an end, no place to linger, meets the dim personal space of someone’s rest.

  • Bubblegum princess is an inverted self-portrait project - a polar opposite of myself in terms of visual descriptors.
